Legends Are Dropped, Not Born
Have you ever had to leave your comfort zone for a reasonable length of time? Imagine if you did, how long do you think you would cope in a particularly strange environment? Well, the answer may not be so far away after all. In a recent global campaign called Voyage, premium beer brand Heineken® set to find out how people would react if and when taken out of a familiar environment and dropped in an unfamiliar situation that constitutes a different experience from one in which they are normally used to.
Thus, the overall aim of Voyage is to place different individuals from various parts of the world in random unfamiliar locations with minimum supplies and directions. This results in Dropped – a series of adventures showing the travel experience of the individuals concerned. For example, in the video below a normal and unassuming man was picked up from South Africa and dropped in the middle of no where, several miles away in Poland.
What makes the Dropped voyage a particularly challenging experience is the fact that participants will have to overcome unscripted difficulties and deal with their worst fears physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Viewers can follow each ‘documentary-styled’ experience through a series of diary entries and journey updates on o2ne of many modern media platforms through the Heineken® Dropped YouTube channel. From here you will find out if any of the adventurers will eventually make it home to the final destination.
